Specialty Camps @ Laurelwood

Camp Laurelwood is offering week-long intensive specialty camps!

Each program will combine immersive, professional instruction and skill development with the high-energy summer camp fun for an intense, well-rounded experience. The values of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship are emphasized while campers master new skills, make new friends and gain a stronger sense of community. 

BASKETBALL CAMP: Dates TBD (Grades K-7)

Professional instruction will focus on shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding and defense. Campers will be immersed in the sport, giving them the kind of focused, intensive training that is essential for improvement. Teamwork and camaraderie are also integral parts of the program. Over the course of the week, your camper’s self-confidence will grow along with their skills and overall appreciation of the game.

NINJA WARRIOR CAMP: Dates TBD (Grades K-9) 

Join us as we jump into the craze that’s sweeping the nation! In our Ninja Warrior Camp, kids will compete in all kinds of fun, physical challenges. There will be nonstop action, including obstacle courses with bounding steps, climbing obstacles, sonic curve, vertical walls and a cargo climb. Campers will compete to break their daily records while working in team-based competitions. The afternoon will consist of camp activities such as swimming, martial arts, ropes course and much more!

CIRCUS CAMP: Dates TBD (Grades K-9) 

We're thrilled to be bringing Circus Camp back to Camp Laurelwood this summer!  During this week-long Specialty Camp, campers are transformed into CIRCUS PERFORMERS!  In small groups, circus campers learn and practice the art of one of fifteen different circus acts, from trick roller skating, trapeze, fire-eating and aerial ballet to mini trampoline and other circus routines. When campers are not practicing for Circus Camp, they participate in a broad range of other camp activities including arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, sports and much more! At the end of the week, Circus Camp participants proudly present a full-fledged, professional circus performance for their fellow campers and community, complete with costumes.


Spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. A waiting list will begin once spaces are filled.

Day Camp Families – Please Note:  

Circus staff does its best to ensure all rehearsals are held between the regular camp day (9:00 am - 4:30 pm) – however, due to the nature of the week some practices could be held between 4:30 - 6:00 pm each night. 

SCHEDULE AND OPTIONS:

Each Camp Day will run from 9:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday:

  • Day Program: Mon - Fri
    • Campers are dropped off at 8:45 am and picked up at 4:30 pm each day (Monday through Friday).
    • Extended Hours available from 7:30 am to 8:45 am/4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. (Additional charges will apply.)
    • Cost: Ninja Warrior Camp and Circus Camp - Additional $200/week; BBALL CAMP -no additional fee
  • Overnight Program: Specialty Camp participants are invited to spend the week with us and enjoy all of the programs, facilities and experiences Camp Laurelwood has to offer. Includes 7 days lodging, all meals/snacks, day/evening activities and dedicated staff.
    • The Specialty portion of the week runs Monday through Friday.  Campers attending Basketball and Circus Camp will arrive on Sunday and stay through the following Sunday.  Campers attending Ninja Warrior Camp will arrive on Monday and stay through Sunday.
    • Cost: Ninja Warrior Camp and Circus Camp - Additional $200/week; BBALL CAMP -no additional fee

  3. Continue with application to the "Additional Options" page
  4. Choose which Specialty Camp(s) your camper is attending
  5. Complete the application

For anyone currently signed up for camp and wants to add a specialty camp:

  1. Please log into your Camp-In-Touch account.
  2. Select "Forms and Documents"
  3. Choose the "Specialty Camps, Parties, Care Pkgs. & Donations" Form
  4. Select which specialty camp(s) your camper would like to sign up for.
