Drazen Dining Hall
Delicious, camper-friendly meals that are nutritious and satisfying are an important ingredient at Camp Laurelwood. Our wonderful chefs are professionally trained and certified with extensive cooking and food preparation experience.

Fishing Pond
Our fishing pond located right in the center of camp is home to many water species including a family of turtles and is also the site for our nostalgia-filled end of session “Sailing Down the River” program and popular evening luaus.

Boating Lake
Our beach front boating lake offers instruction and free time for kayaking, canoeing, surf-biking and the ever popular paddleboarding!

Ropes Course
With the guidance of trained ropes staff, campers reach new peaks with our High and Low Ropes Challenge Course. They fly through the air on the Flying Squirrel, Climbing Jacobs Ladder and the Gorilla Swing. Campers love zipping through the sky on the zipline, swinging on the Holy Cow, balancing on the Ships Crossing, and dangling on the Dangling Duo. The low ropes work on team activities and bonding through the Nitro Swing, Spider Web, Ships Wheel, the teetering Whale Watch and the always challenging Mohawk Walk.

Gaga Courts
Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport and a camp favorite. For 2016, we added 4 NEW Gaga courts throughout campus and launched the offical CLGL (Camp Laurelwood Gaga League)!

Archery Range
Camper of all ages and skill levels enjoy this timeless classic which has become even more popular since being featured throughout in the "Hunger Games" films.

Canteen
Campers always look forward to Canteen, featuring a variety of snacks and cold drinks each day. (On opening day parents can establish a canteen account with extra funds for miscellaneous items such as stamps, shampoo, soap and other necessities.)
The canteen was recenly renovated with new roofing/siding and great new front porch!

Katz Media Lab
Our newly renovated, air-conditioned media lab is a popular camp destination. Campers can practice their journalism skills working on the camp newspaper, learn digital photography, web production skills and produce videos each week.

Zachs Rec Hall
Completely renovated inside and out, the Zachs Rec Hall is the 4-seasons climate-controlled destination for a multide of events and programs - including,big screen movies with surround sound, camper plays, socials and game shows to name a few.

Martial Arts
Campers get to try their hands (and feet) in the art of self-defense, we offer an exciting program from beginner to advanced levels. The program is directed by an experienced instructor and is housed in our Martial Arts Building. Krav MAga, Judo and Karate are types of Martial Arts that our instructor teaches to the campers.

The “Chuppa”
The "heart" of our campus, the Chuppa is a multi-use covered play and gathering space hosting everything from weekly Shabbat services to basketball tournaments.

Dance Studio
From jazz to hip hop to zumba - our newly updated studio is the place to be for all things dance!

Beach Volleyball
Nothing says summer more than brying your feet in the sand. Our beach volleyball court adjacent to our pool complex provides the perfect opportunity for our campers to fully experience the pure joy of summer.

Upper & Lower Pools
Camp Laurelwood features two well maintained swimming pools which host two daily swim periods offer ample time for free swim, water games and swim instruction taught by our American Red Cross-certified staff.

Health Center
Completely renovated for 2016, the Health Center is well-equipped to meet all the camp's daily needs as well as emergencies. Camp Laurelwood’s Health Center operates and is certified according to the guidelines of the State of Connecticut and the American Camping Association.

Baseball/Softball/Kickball
If it's played with a ball on a diamond, you'll find our campers playing it here every day.

Multi-Sport Fields
Play ball! Whether it's soccer, baseball, softball, football, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, or touch rugby, there's always action on CL's Ball Fields. Laurelwood is a great place to hone your skills with it's newly created curriculum based sports program. We also have friendly summer competitions which are a great way to show off our Laurelwood skills, spirit and sportsmanship.

Basketball
From pick up games - to tournaments - to training programs by the best 3-point shooter in history, basketball remains a favorite among all of our campers.

Camp Office & Welcome Center
Staffed all year-round, this is where you'll find our intrepid Camp Director and administrative team working hard to make our camper's "best summer ever" even better every day.

Nature Hut
The great outdoors surrounding Camp Laurelwood’s beautiful site in North Madison beckons campers to chart their course in nature with hiking, fishing, horseback riding and outdoor adventure. Led by a trained nature instructor, campers hike our 140 acres, fish on our private Lake Laurelwood, explore on campus wildlife and learn how to appreciate and protect our envirenment.

Arts & Crafts
Our professionally staffed Arts & Crafts Studio allows campers to create their own pottery, ceramics, jewelry, soap, candles, mosaics, and other craft projects to bring home and treasure.

Biking
Campers are encouraged to bring their bicycles from home and join in once a week offsite bike trip. Our biking staff and nature specialists set the pace for campers to explore local trails, caves, and nature from atop their two-wheelers.
Tennis Courts
All of our tennis courts have been beautifully resurfaced in blue and green and host a variety of instructional and competitive tennis programs.
